Conditions

It needs well-oriented swell, east wind and experience with reef, current and crowd.

Photo angle

Photography is done from a distance and demands precise timing. The best images show power, line and tube depth.

Surf photographer in Coxos: how it works

Coxos is Ericeira’s expert wave: a fast, demanding right-hand reef. It is shot from the cliff, which gives a clean high angle over the face of the wave.

I shoot from the beach with a telephoto lens, so nothing changes for you: surf as usual and I take care of the rest. We agree on the spot and time the day before, based on the swell, wind and tide forecast.

Group photography, up to 5 — €70/hour
